Kevin McManus
HARDDRIVE's keyboard player and backing vocalist, is the bastard son of Peter Crouch and Zoe Ball as a result of an illicit liaison on the top deck of the No700 bus somewhere between Fishbourne and Portsmouth (that long stretch of road is notoriously tedious).
He honed his considerable talents whilst growing up (?) on the mean streets of Southampton. Playing for such notables as the Act of God, Cover 2 Cover and a long stint in function band The Generators as well as eight years on the pro circuit.
His influences include Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, Heaven 17 and Yello (amongst many others).
His ambition is to grow more arms so he can play more than two keyboards at once.
Kevin could certainly say he's now found his true home as HARDRIVE's Electronic backbone and keysmith.
When asked about Kevin’s outstanding talents George Clooney was quoted as saying “Who?” and, former PM, Tony Blair said “I can honestly say I’ve never heard of him!”.
High praise indeed.
